Subject: Goodbye Bermuda

We (John, John, Jon, Alex, and Amy) leave Bermuda today, and we are really going to miss all of the people that have been such an integral part of this expedition. It has been so much fun working with everyone, and we are very grateful to all of our sponsors and project supporters!

Subject: Last Day

Today is our last day in Bermuda, and there is lots to do! If I didn’t know any better, I would think we were in Seattle…the rain was coming down in buckets all morning long. Terrence, Gil, Amy, and some local divers headed to Walsingham to retrieve some instrumentation. Amy collected the equipment after the dive, and then met up with the divers at Deep Blue.

Subject: Good evening GALVESTON!

This is our last broadcast day from Bermuda, and tonight - at 10 pm our time - we did our broadcast with Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston, TX.
The broadcast went sooo well and sooo smooth! A big congratulations and thank you are in order to Jennifer Lamm (Moody Gardens) and Sam Waltman (Cambrian Foundation/TX) for selecting an excellent location - their IMAX theatre - for their audience participants!

Subject: Caves, caves, caves!

We began our day today at 6:00 am heading for Clear View to meet Carl. Once there, we programmed Terrence’s equipment and readied it for deployment into Walsingham (a different entrance).

Today’s broadcast was to the Orlando Science Center’s Scienterrific Saturday, and the dive crew needed to be on site by noon.

Subject: Venue OSC Oceanography Camp

We had another busy day today! Terrence needed to install some equipment into Crystal Cave - the sister cave to Fantasy and on the same property, so we (Carl, Terrence, Jenny, and Amy) met at the caves this morning and loaded gear into Crystal.

Subject: BUEI goes LIVE!

We woke bright and early this morning to meet at Fantasy Cave at 7:00 am; though, today is the FIRST time the rooster outside of Amy’s bedroom window decided to sleep IN! Our broadcast host venue today was BUEI - the Bermuda Underwater Explorers’ Institute).

Subject: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and … we’re on!

We woke this morning to a thunderstorm moving across Bermuda that brought with it a deluge of rain and thunder, which not only made scooter driving a challenge, but threw some logistical hurdles our way in terms of equipment setup and preliminary broadcast tests.

Subject: Test the Broadcast

Morning came EARLY today as the two roosters outside of my bedroom were right on time with the 4:30 wake up call that I DIDN’T request. :) Oh well, time to start the day!

We agreed to meet at Fantasy Cave at 8:30 to begin our first setup and broadcast tests going to and from the USA.

Now that we are all here and on site, it would probably be helpful to mention all of our team members on this expedition as we are very fortunate to have partnered with Interactive Expeditions (www.intxinc.com) for this really one-of-a-kind experience, and we have some new faces to introduce. …
Today was our first day of setting all of our gear up and testing it.
